Jackie celebrates music from across the globe from iconic television and movie soundtracks. Singing in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Yiddish and Portuguese, Jackie will perform a mix of swing, bossa nova, blues and deeply moving songs drawn from classic films and acclaimed tv series including Six Feet Under, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Schindler’s List and more.

Jackie shares the music and stories of some of her favourite Jewish composers and lyricists. From the Yemenite tones of Ofra Haza’s Love Song (Song of Songs) to the show tunes of Irving Berlin and Jackie’s own originals, the repertoire follows Jackie’s journey through musical genres including Yiddish theatre song, pop, jazz, bossa nova and chanson.

Jackie Bornstein and her band celebrate a fresh program of moving songs composed by remarkable women in jazz including Peggy Lee, Kay Swift, Edith Piaf and Billie Holiday. Shifting to the women in jazz of today, Jackie also performs original pieces by herself and band member Flora Carbo.
